Country music has provided us with some of the very most iconic couples ever. From Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood to Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, the genre is stuffed with awe-inspiring duos which have a love like no other—and the way to sing about this. Some of our favorite country crooners have even found romance outside the music industry with Hollywood royalty (taking a look at you, Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman) and sports pros (Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher).
From tales of heartache to redemption and my way through between, country music artists have probably the most beautiful and long-lasting relationships within the entertainment industry. Maybe they can write romance-filled tunes or their country charm, but anything, we can't get enough of it.
When referring to country music's most iconic couples, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill are extremely the first pair that come to mind. The two wed in 1996 and also have three daughters together, although the beginning of the romance would be a bit of a whirlwind. While the couple first met in 1994, it had not been until Faith joined Tim on his Spontaneous Combustion Tour that their relationship began to bloom casual wedding dresses.
The "It's Your Love" singer shared their proposal story on his Instagram in 2021 in honor of the couple's 25th anniversary. As the story goes, Tim proposed numerous times to Faith, but she didn't desire to be involved with another country singer following her divorce from music publishing executive Daniel Hill. However, Tim persisted and popped the question once more in a trailer house at a country music festival. In true romantic fashion, Faith waited until Tim was on stage to provide her answer, writing, "Yes! I'm destined to be your wife" on his mirror in red lipstick. "We have that mirror," Tim shared in the video. "And it had been the best day of my entire life, no doubt." The rest is country music history.
